Father's Heart -

Father's Heart Ranch is located in the Coachella Valley. Our ranch is located on 11 acres of land. We are still growing, but currently have four cottages open, with 6 boys residing in each. These cottages are beautifully furnished with three bedrooms, one bath, dining area and a living room. Also on property, is a dining hall/commercial kitchen that can seat up to 150 people, two other houses used for therapy and administration and two more additional houses for future projects.

Albie Pearson is a former major league baseball player who played professionally for fourteen years. A severe injury curtailed an illustrious career as the American League Rookie of the Year and an American League All Star. He was one of the smallest players in major league baseball history. In 1979 Albie and his wife, Helen, founded United Ministries International. Through this mission, they have been involved in seeing schools, orphanages and churches established in the United States, Eastern Europe, Mexico and South America. Fourteen years later, Albie and Helen, moved to the Coachella Valley. Their hearts' desire to help hurting children was overwhelming. "There was no question in our minds that this burden was from the heart of the Heavenly Father. The reality of the need became so heavy that we had to find a place to provide a safe home for these children." In 1997, Albie came across an 11-acre parcel of land that he knew he had to purchase. The Pearson’s sold their home and moved into the Ranch they had purchased for "their" children. The vision of the Father's heart had begun. After many years of reconstruction and several children later, Father's Heart Ranch is growing into the next level.

Sharon Zarres is the group home’s Administrator. Sharon and her husband Michael came to Father’s Heart Ranch in 2003. Sharon brings to us sixteen years of foster parenting experience and two Master Degrees in Psychology. One degree is in Clinical Psychology and the other in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since 2003, we have gradually grown with the insight of Sharon’s expertise. Her husband, Mike, also works as the Facility Director. He oversees the facility’s public relations, hiring, maintenance, training staff and any other required duties. Together they are a team who are dedicated to servicing the needs of the children of Father’s Heart Ranch.
